Dash and Skee's Photo Album

I photographed the album that I made for Kathy, featuring her two boys, Dash and Skee. Here is the cover:

Album with teal suede paper and a photo of two kitties with crown

This uses a Westrim clipboard style album that already had pre-cut openings. I started out by using a copper leafing pen on all the edges and openings, before doing anything else. I used teal embossed suede paper on the cover and copper crepe paper over the spine. Those are copper crown charms on the boys, which I pounded flat with a hammer.

I used rub-ons in this album to an extent that I had not used them previously. It was kind of fun!

Close-up of Dash the cat

It's possible that this fabulous paper is doing a lot of the work for me. Check out the Heidi Swapp rhinestone border around one of Dash's photos, above.

Another page featuring dash the cat, with two tags that use photos

Dash is a very handsome boy.

Here is the other side of the tags:

A Play tag of Dash attacking a ball and a Hide tag of him inside a party bag

Skeeter is a striking young man, too:

Closeup of Skee, ginger tabby, and a formica tag with seaglass labeled 'brave'

You can't see it well here, but the Skeeter page has a formica tag that has a piece of seaglass on it. On the seaglass, it says 'brave' and 'strong.' This is actually an inside joke. For whatever crazy reason, Skeeter attacks anything made of frosted glass, with some fear.

Here's the other side of the tag -- it says 'Rowdy':

I am developing a "thing" for glitter letters.

Another picture of Skeeter, 100% authentic boy, Cat Daddy-O

Cat Daddy-O is one of my nicknames for Skee. He doesn't really understand.

Pictures of Dash and Skee on pillows

More than other cats, Dash and Skee really like pillows. They often sleep with their head resting on a little pillow. I've had cats that will sleep with their entire body on a pillow, but this is different. It's very funny to see!

pictures of both boys featuring the quotation, There is a destiny that makes us brothers

The pre-printed quotation on the tag says: There is a destiny that makes us brothers.

Pictures of the boys play fighting, plus a metal ornament that swings aside to reveal 'Wanna Play?'

The last page is where I tucked all the extra photos:

A pocket on the last page with extra photos tucked inside

And that's it!
