Glad This Wasn't EMERGENCY Medication!

On Monday, the radiation oncologist's nurse told me to start using Domeboro solution on my raw skin, three times a day. She gave me some samples to start me off, and that day I went to the pharmacy to try to get a box of packets. They said they'd have to order it and told me they'd call me later in the afternoon with an estimated arrival.

Tuesday, after hearing nothing, I called the pharmacy, but they transferred me and put me on hold for fifteen minutes. Finally, I hung up.

Wednesday morning, I called again. After getting nowhere for 10 minutes, ("How do you spell Domeboro? What is it exactly?") they promised to call me back. If I didn't hear back from them by 3 pm, I was to call again. Of course, that meant at 3 pm, I had to call the pharmacy. They said they couldn't find anyone who had it in stock. They promised to call later. Finally they called to tell me they located a wholesaler who had it in stock and they may be able to get it by Thursday afternoon. I picked it up yesterday.

Today, I was running out of gauze, so I stopped by another store in the same chain (Longs Drug Store). This one was two or three miles away from the other one. While looking for the gauze, what did I see on the shelf? FOUR BOXES of the stuff that my pharmacy said couldn't be found!

I guess they don't check stock within their own chain. Goodness.
