Great Garage Update

Well, I did indeed make a dent in the garage this week, although I would have liked to have done more.

I donated seven boxes of books and videos to the Rainbow Community Center in Concord. Many of the books are ones that I used to do the research for Sappho.com . I don't have the space to put those books out. Since that's the case, I'd rather let other lesbians have access to the, so I was happy that the RCC was interested in the donation.

I also had 8 boxes of material for shredding that I took care of. Lots of that was from moving, because there wasn't time to the actual shredding. Now, 8 banker's boxes would have taken hours and hours to shred with a household shredder, not to mention it would be a nightmare to get our recycling company to take the shreddings. So, for this I called a local shredding company. Having 8 boxes disappear in minutes is pure joy.

Finally, there were at least 15 empty bankers boxes stacked up. I'm not really sure why they were there. We broke those down and yay! We have a gross reduction of THIRTY BOXES. Um, not like I was counting.
