An Offer!

We received an offer on the house last night, just in the nick of time. The deadline for offers was 5 pm, and minutes before, an agent faxed an offer over to our realtor. She called us and then faxed the paperwork over for Kathy to sign. The offer is for a little over our asking price. On paper, it looks like a lot more, because of how they are writing up the offer. They are offering a certain amount over the asking price, then asking that we credit them back the difference so that they have it in case. Whatever; all that matters is that our net price is one we are happy to sell at.

We already scheduled a third open house for this coming Sunday, not knowing we would be getting an offer. We're going to go ahead with it to see if we can attract some back up offers just in case this offer doesn't go through. Cindy was right in her predicted profile of our home buyer. Because it's 100% financing, it's a less secure offer and we can only wait to see if everything works out.

With our attention on other things now, it's good to have the house in the real estate agents hands now. Thank you, Marge and Norm!
