Pirates Save the Day

I received a SPAM message in today's email entitled, "You can regrow your hair!"

Um, okay...good to know the universe has a sense of humor.

I'm really not feeling well. I feel very boring talking about my symptoms. I have a painful, blistering rash, I've had diarrhea for days, and any light hurts my eyes something awful. I am in the darkest room in the house with the brightness turned way down on the laptop. That goes to show how stubborn I am that I don't turn it off the computer altogether!

Last night I made dinner, but it tasted wrong to me. I kept asking Kathy, "Are you sure it tastes okay? Because if it doesn't, you don't have to eat it." She insisted that the meal tasted like it always did. I continued to feel kind of out of it and I couldn't stay interested in the weird tasting-food.

While we ate, we were watching the "In Theaters" show where they air movie previews in high definition. Suddenly, the Dead Man's Chest preview came on. In an instant, I was alert and grinning broadly. Pirates! Woo-hoo! Kathy reminded me that thanks to the power our HD DVR, I could to rewind and replay. So, what the heck, I watched it two more times! Love that high resolution picture.

In other pirate news, today I received a head scarf that I bought from an eBay seller who is located in England. He swore it came from the same source that the Pirates of the Caribbean costumers used for Captain Jack Sparrow's head scarf. It looked similar, so I decided to buy it. Thank goodness, it wasn't too expensive.

Now with the head scarf in hand, I've gone over high-res stills from Dead Man's Chest to examine Jack's head scarf from all angles. The design is not the same over the entire scarf, so I had to be sure. To my delight, I've fond that it is the same scarf! Omigoodness! Obviously, it isn't aged like the one in the film, but I can fix that.

Combined with my custom-made leather replica of Captain Jack's hat, I RULE the pirate universe! Yay, me!
